I am an independent filmmaker and photographer and have worked on various projects in Iceland and abroad. Prior to that I worked as a journalist and in TV production for Channel 2 and the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service (RÚV).

Currently I am working part-time at Úkraínuverkefnið, a research project with focus on Ukraine at University of Iceland. In 2022, I was an Icelandic Red Cross & IFRC delegate for Ukraine and Impacted Countries Crisis as audio visual officer in Poland and Hungary in 2022. Prior to that I was a communication coordinator and a delegate of the Icelandic Red Cross and IFRC was on board Ocean Viking, a search and rescue ship in the Central Mediterranean. I have also been deployed as civilian public affairs officer for NATO´s Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan (2018-2019) and NATO´s enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup in Lithuania (august 2019-april 2020).

In June 2023 I will graduate with a diploma in Russian from University of Iceland. I also have a MA degree in TV documentary production from University of Salford, UK and BA in social anthropology and a diploma in media and journalism, both from University of Iceland. My feature documentary I Want to be Weird (2015) was nominated the best Nordic Documentary at film festival Nordisk Panorama in 2015.
